Whiskey Boys Rampage

Begins at Noon

"Whiskey Boys" comes from a letter written to Continental Congress in 1793 referring to the Insurrection of David Bradford

and the Whiskey Boys.

​

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

​

Fellow Whiskey Lovers.

​

David Bradford calls you once again to 

​

reclaim your glorious history

​

by traveling 'round to local taverns

​

and celebrating with them

 

by crowding their establishments,

 

enjoying libations in a responsible manner,

​

and sharing a plate of their 

​

"Fare on a Pole"

​

The Tavernkeeper at

Rusty Gold Brewing

will be serving

 

BBQ Pork on a Stick

​

The Whiskey Boys stole the mail to determine 

who was "tattling" on them to Alexander Hamilton.

They opened the letters in Canonsburg at a Tavern called

"Black Horse Tavern".

​

​

You can steal the mail at Rusty Gold Brewing.

This time the mail will contain valuable discounts to all your favorite shoppes and taverns.

David Bradford invites

Whiskey Lovers

to join him at his stone mansion,

​

175 S. Main Street,

Washington, PA

​

at 9 p.m.

on Saturday, June 8

 

as

he leads the procession 

bravely carrying the pole

to the home of the

Mingo Creek Society

of whiskey distillers known as

 

Liberty Pole Spirits

 

where it will be erected

and shall stand

mightily throughout the annual

Whiskey Rebellion Festival. 

​

All participants will join their hands

together in a hand-tying ceremony 

following the erection for a toast

to great whiskey and its heritage.

But wait, there's more....

​

Liberty Pole Spirits will open

the Meetinghouse Tent 

behind the distillery.

 

Must be 21 to enter.

 

Cocktails will be sold in the tent.

​

6 to 10 p.m.

​

The tent holds 48 chairs.

Hand-tying ceremony and CelebratoryToast will follow

immediately after the pole goes up. 

Bagpiper will play the sun down.

 

While you're in the tent, don't forget to sign the Rampage Book

and pick up a commenorative T-shirt.
