This is based on a classic Scotch cocktail and is a perfect mix of spicy, sweet, tangy and smoky flavors. We replace the Scotch in the classic recipe with our Peated Bourbon and using a local honey, we find ourselves sipping a unique and delightful twist on this classic. Use your favorite honey because it makes a difference in the taste. We prefer our friends' honey at Bedillion Honey Farm. We think their woody-noted Basswood Honey goes perfectly with our 2-year-old Peated.
1-1/2 oz. Liberty Pole Spirits Peated Bourbon
1-1/4 oz. Honey-Ginger Syrup*
1/2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain onto a large ice cube in a Rocks Glass.
Garnish with candied ginger slices or dried lemon slice.
*To make the honey-ginger simple syrup, combine 16 oz. Bedillion Basswood Honey,
2-1/4 oz. Liber & Co. Fiery Ginger Syrup, and 4 oz. HOT water. Keep refrigerated.
