The very first whiskey we've harvested from a West Virginia Great Barrel Company (WVGBC) barrel.  WVGBC is a WV based cooper specializing in making amazing barrels from Appalachian oak.  We love the local aspect of using these guys and the whiskey from their barrels is tasting spectacular. 
 
Like all of our single barrel releases, this whiskey is barrel strength and bottled unfiltered.  WIth tasting notes of ginger, lemon, leather and orange peel and coming in at a proof point of 107.8 proof (53.9% ABV) this is a classic example of a pot distilled Monongahela style rye whiskey!
