Farmer's Markets are open for the summer and we couldn't be more excited. The variety of local produced provides inspiration for new cocktails with unique flavor. This particular drink uses fresh bell peppers, creating a savory yet refreshing drink.
2 oz. Bassett Town Whiskey
3/4 oz. Bell Pepper Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
3/4 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
Combine all ingredients and shake over ice. Pour into coupe glass and garnish with lime or pepper slices.
Bell Pepper Juice
Remove seeds from fresh bell peppers and pulverize in blender (red and orange peppers work best)
Pour juice into salad spinner
Cover tightly with cheese cloth
Close salad spinner and turn handle until juice is removes from the pulp (approximately 30 seconds)
Pour out the separated juice and dispose of the leftover pulp
