Eagle Sentinel & William McClure's Apple

Updated: Jun 5, 2018

These cocktails are two of our earliest creations. Pictured on the left, the Eagle Sentinel is named after the eagle on the whiskey rebellion flag. Pictured on the right, the William McClure's Apple is named after one a member of the original Mingo Creek Society. More importantly, one of our employees (Ben McClure) is a descendant of William McClure.

Eagle Sentinel Ingredients

2 oz. Bourbon

1 oz. Ginger Liqueur

1 oz. Sours

1 oz. Honey Simple Syrup

Combine all ingredients and shake over ice. Strain into a Julep glass and garnish with a lime slice.

Sours

1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice

1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 cup regular simple syrup

Make simple syrup by combining equal parts water and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook until sugar dissolves. Add only one cup of mixture to the sours.

Bring to a boil and cook until honey is completely dissolved. Let cool before using.

William McClure's Apple Ingredients
